because there is a competition between the two. they played in the 86 final and argentina won and then the played in the 90 final again but that time germany won. so its a little rivarly between them.

None of the above.... some of the German players starting making fun of Argentina's loss, including their manager, Bierhoff, who was making fun of Heinze. Fifa will open an investigation about what happened during the match, but Germany was not a good host, very rude what they did, especially being the host!!!!!Instead of shaking hands, they were making fun of some players, but well, Argentina still had the best game, and I think that Germans were making fun cause they knew that they did not have the best game, and I'm sure that they will lose in the next round.

Cause Argentina did something and the ref called it and Germany did the same thing and the ref didnt call it. Argentina thought it may have cost them the game.

A bit of argy-bargy going on!one of the Argentinians hit a FIFA official! I'm wondering what the difference between the players and the football hooligans ?

I agree with user "Bridget Anytime". Germany's sportsmanship was pathetic. At the end of the game to diss out the other team?? Come on, of course they are going to react because they play football with passion not like a bunch of stuck up over rated, sucky style football team.
So, basically, if you wanna know, the Argentines played a better game, but the refs favoured the Germans, being the home team and all, they couldn't lose....why? MONEY TALKS. GOOD LUCK GERMANY CAUSE YOU WILL NEED IT AND DONT FORGET TO LEAVE YOUR TIPS TO THE REFS AT THE END OF THE GAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here is what the poor losing argentinian's don't want you to know....

The whole thing started because Cruz would flip the Germans off (he would kiss his outstretched middle finger) after every single Argentinian penalty kick that went in. Borroski (GER) did the same after his penalty kick and it pissed the players off even more when they lost. The idiot unused substitute Leandro Cufre (ARG) got his tall blond German players mixed-up and ended up kicking Per Mertesacker (GER) in the crotch after his team lost, thereby starting the brawl on the field. Oliver Beerhoff was trying to shield his players after Mertesacker went down and ended up getting some of the Argentinian frustration focused on him.

Your whole team should be barred from the WC for unsportsman-like-conduct!!! oh wait....you're team is already on a plane home anyways.

I'm not sure exactly, but whenever you lose a World Cup game in a penalty situation, things are going to get a little tense.
