No, its bad enough to be able to read faces.
So NO WAY!
If I was the only one who could read minds and couldnt turn it off, I'd go live in the amongst the most primitve people I could find, amonsgst people of whom I would never learn their language.
If we all could read minds, what, I think I'd wear a lead hat. Do you think that would keep the peepers out? I guess I'd be sacrificing my heighth for privacy.

Honestly I would have no need for this because I don't really care what ppl think about me. If I did I know that I wouldn't be the person that I am today. Don't let ppl get you down. It's not worth it. Live life the way you want to. Just be you!

*It would be kinda cool to see what you were getting as a gift early.... or, how does he really feel about me. If he hates me I can get rid of him early. There's never any point in wasting time.
=)

I would like the ability to control it. To hear when I wanted to, not all the time, because if there was something you needed to hear, I wouldn't want to know that the person didn't really mean it, because sometimes just hearing the words can be comforting, I wouldn't want to know that they weren't true.

I suspect I have that ability, to a point. People are mostly angry or annoyed. I'd just as soon not have the details, thank you.

It's tempting, but no. I think hearing the evil things that we all think but never say would drive me into a terrible realization that people are cruel and unkind, even the best of them. Well, crap, guess I just came to that realization anyways.
I change my answer to yes, lol.
