It has received a Tune Up earlier this year, due to a mis-fire in the third cylinder. I had that fixed.

All the fluids have been flushed and replenished.

Exhaust leak, fuel leak, somethings leaking if you smell something...time to go back to a mechanic and have em check it bumper-to-bumper.

I use to have a ford explorer find out whats wrong with it fix it & get rid of it, it's alway 1 thing after another w/ those cars.hope U know someone that can fix it 4 cheap. GOOD LUCK!

I love my Fords. Had lots of probs with Chevy, and Chryslers, Sounds like it is diesling. see your mechanic. Maybe needs timing set. Bad gas did it to mine once. Easy to fix and should not be expensive.

the shaking part can be from out of balance or bent rims, or rotor or dmaged axle, but the fumes could be tricky on answering, depends on what the fumes smell like

check all catalythic converters that might be the bad smell.
