Greed, pure and simple. Unless laws are passed where profit should be prohibited on items that are needed for substenance, prices will continue to be high, and usually when gas prices are high, the price of everything else is high as well.

BTW, Jenny is full of manure. Convenient? Yes, but most untrue.

Supply and demand is okay for the popular artist CD of the moment or the latest Harry Potter book, but most certainly NOT OKAY for something that people depend on to get around, and make a living.

I think that it is because the oil refinerys were blown up and we don't have as much gas as we used to. I was at my grandma &pas 50th anniversary and gas used to be 59cents!!!!
People are also trying to make more of a profit...

The same reason the prices are what they are for everything else.....supply and demand. Simple as that.
