She needs to get qualifications and experience, but don't expect much pay! Check out all the good information previously given, also check for riding for the disabled, you have to volunteer your time, but a lot of the ladies that do have horses or will help with horsey knowledge, will show to the riding school and others you are really keen to work with horses

horse & hound magazine comes out every thursday & usually has 2-3 pages of jobs with horses across the country, there are also some agencies advertising in there which may be able to assist.
If your friend really wants to work with horses, she should look at getting her BHS exams ASAP as this will ensure she earns more money, will also help if she can drive a horse box

she could always go along to local farmers who have horses and offer to clean them out or groom them its cirtanly a start then she can work her way up the lader to becoming a trainer or giving riding lessons ect.thats how my mates started
