Its a 2.8L isn't it, dump it and get either a 305 or 350 V8, more parts and a heck of a lot more reliable.

Most salvage yards sell used engines or can locate them if they did not have the correct one.Also most parts stores can get you a crate motor or they can also be ordered from most car magazines,so many have advertisement listings of crate engines,short blocks,long blocks,etc. You could also go to your G.M. dealer.That should give you some help,good luck!

Go to your local GM dealer.The new motor will be expensive, but should have a warranty and will be the correct motor. Also try your local auto parts store or junk yard.Good luck!

A rebuilt engine will usually cost around 1000-1500 dollars. Try your local car parts store. They can help. Give them the make, model, and year of the car, and let them do what they do best. Also check with car dismantlers....
