inanimite objects, living or non-living, do not "know" anything. the genes that they are given are what make them create what they need to create. much like say, your mom had blue eyes, and those genes were passed on to you. your body is now able to develop blue eyes for you during the gestation period, much like a plant's gestation period.

The exact same way your skin "knows" to grow on the outside, and your bones on the inside. An orange tree's DNA carries the blueprint for the entire tree. The DNA is passed onto the seed. RNA carries the "instructions for assembly."

orange tree does not know it is making oranges and the same is with the pear tree. its all what its genes code for !!!!!!!!!
