Believe it or not, it would be Chicago. It's been obvious for a couple years that Peyton Manning can not handle a hard pass rush, especially with a heavy zone blitz. Teams are finally starting to pick up on it and exploit it. That's why San Diego and Pittsburgh were able to beat them; it's not that their defenses were that great, they just rushed and blitzed effectively and it completely threw Manning off of his game. He looked like Joey Harrington out there, completely clueless. Chicago has an outstanding pass rush with just their front four (Ogunleye, Brown, Harris, and Scott), let alone if you add in the speed of Urlacher and Briggs bringing a blitz. Even a vulnerable secondary only has to hold strong for a couple seconds to eliminate the passing game, and now the Colts don't even have Edge to fall back on. It wouldn't be a blow-out by any means, but Chicago's offense is strong enough to put points on the board, especially when given short fields by their outstanding D and special teams play. Chicago would win by three, the spread would probably be about 5 favoring the Colts to win. I can't say that they're the two best teams, but we'll find out in a couple months.

Interesting question-
you could argue that the Colts are the best offense
and the Bears are the best defense.

But neither is close to being best in the league,
you have to have balance to be a great team,
both on offense and defense.

The Bears win- they have a dozen sacks and eat the Colts alive from the very first play and don't let them score.
Score is 9 (3 field goals) to 7, to the Bears.

1. Colts would win (because no matter how good the Bears D is, they have no O),
2. Spread?
3. No, they're not the 2 best teams in the NFL. That honor belongs to the Pittsburgh Steelers and possibly the Seattle Seahawks.

GO STEELERS!

The Bears-only if there's a blizzard and the game is outdoors!
Otherwise, the Bears get smoked and the score is 31-13 in favor of the Colts!

The Colts will win... the Colts should be favored by about 7.5 points or so... and they're not what I would call the best two teams in the NFL... but they are top shelf as of right now...
