The next neighborhood has it but we don't. What gives?

if they have it in your area you should be able to get it too.. i would call and ask them why you cannot get high speed internet service...it does not make sense that you can not get it when others around you have it...but i cannot know the reason and you will not until you get ahold of them and talk to them about it...

You've either gotten really unlucky on your placement near the central office or you're not asking the right questions.

Call your phone or cable companies and talk to customer or techinal support for the answers, you're looking for.
