I'm an expert witness for a lawfirm that handles lemon law cases in 6 states in the Northeast. Here's some stats (mine, not some silly survey)...out of 7,600 cases I've offered opinions in over the last 6 years, 1,800 of them were Hyundai and Kia products. The rest were everything else on the market. Those two little companies took up right at 1/4 of my total case load.

Also, Kia and Hyundai are the ONLY vehicle manufacturers/ retailers in our nation who have agreements with Mannheim Auctions, LLC for special “lemon lanes”, where their over-abundance of lemon law-repurchased vehicles are sold in special lanes on special days at auctions. No other manufacturers have enough lemons/defective vehicles flowing through the auctions, even huge groups like GM, Ford, and Chrysler, to warrant a special agreement like this.

If you own a Hyundai or Kia and haven't had much trouble, count your blessings, you are the exception to the rule.

yes especially the hyundai's, when hyundai first came out they made a mistake by not giving the consumers what they want and overpricing, after years of research, hyundai has learned their mistakes and started to add more luxury, longer warranty, and under pricing, thats why they are now recieving tons of awards.
