I have just purchased AV400 and tried to record from tv?

the no signal message keeps appearing and i dont know why ive connected as manual says

Start again*... remove all the wires then reconnect.. do a autoscan in the tuning section.... sometimes if it is in av mode you get "no-signal" come up-untill you connect something to that av scart.. *Remember not to plug it into electricity untill everything connected..
