Some doctors will use a 3-or 7-day cream to treat a yeast infection; those can be inserted into the vagina before bedtime. There are also some single-dose creams that can be used, but depending on the severity of the infection, the doctor might choose to use the 3 or 7-day cream instead.
There's also a pill called Diflucan that can be called into the pharmacy. It's a single-dose pill that you swallow and it treats the yeast.

There are some good over the counter medications - Gyne-lotrimin and Monistat (which is a three day medication). They are available at supermarkets and pharmacies. Follow the directions. You might also think to add acidophilus tablets (same active cultures in yogurt but more) which are normal (good) bacteria in the vaginal tract. They keep the yeast at bay.
If the OTC medications fail then there is a powerful anti-yeast pill you can take available by perscription.
Good luck.

Where do you have the infection? If it is anywhere other than the vagina, it is likely a pill. Vaginal infections are treated with something like Monistat. Both are treated with a modified diet.

I think its a vaginal suppository(or however you spell it) or they may give you some antibiotics. You should try eating some yogurt until you get to the doctor. :)
