Doesn’t coffee make people wired … so why do people drink energy and then sit back in a coma and casually chat

It's an just an alternative to a bar. Although, I prefer the bar.

Most people who go to coffee houses normally like to sit there and chat. I guess the 'chatting' burns off the energy. That's why you will never find a QUIET coffee house... As for relaxation? Some people find it relaxing to just talk.

because the atmosphere is really relaxing and comfortable, plus a lot of people just do it because it's trendy. but I think to be able to drink a nice hot cup of tea, coffe whatever you like in a nice couchy chair, and just forgot about what I did all day and how stressfull it was, and how many things I had to do for people I don't like, and for how many things I had to pick up and drop off, you just need to let your hair down and pick that coffee off that wooden table in that coffee shop and escape from everything, is just something you can't compare to. and coffee doesn't give everyone energy, like decaf, you know what I mean.

It's just a tammer comparison to the reasons people hang out in bars, only you can't get arrested for drinking coffee and driving.(Yet)

why do people go to a bar and hang out....or a night club to dance....why do birds fly.....its a place for people to go and have some coffee...some people like to kick back and drink some coffee and chat.

Because they are waiting for the grand cheese god to come, they must drink the coffee to give them the energy to serve him when he comes.

Not sure, I am not a coffee drinker, but I know a lot of people who do that and it is strange now that you mention it.

Well alcohol makes a lot of people violent or sick, so I guess wired is a preferable alternative.
