"Hobson's Choice" is the best.
If you haven't seen it, please do - it's great!

The old "Jane Eyre" with Orson Welles isn't bad, "A Night to Remember" is the only PROPER Titanic film. Some Norman Wisdom films are pretty funny.
And two for the Horror film specialists: "Nosferatu" and "The Fearless Vampire Killers."

Or was the Vampire Killers in colour...? Not sure - it was a 1960's film, and excellent anyway! XD

My favourite black and white film has to be The Wizard of Oz and the amazing difference when she awakes in Oz and all the glamourous colour takes centre stage

Without question "Scrooge" It was the film adaptation of "A Christmas Carol" by Charles Dickens. It was made in 1951 and the whole cast were superb but Alister Sim was unbeatable as the main character, "Scrooge".

Monsieur Hulot's Holiday

It's just a mad film with very little plot but I love it for the photography, its Frenchness, its observation of silly humans, Jaques Tati's silly walk, the fact that it needs no subtitles and ... well, it's Frenchness.
