My boyfriend and i have been having unprotected sex for the last five months, i've been getting my period every month(although it's very light and only lasts a few days) but lately i've been having some strange symptoms....nauseated day and night, headaches, dull cramps in lower abdomen and low back, humongous appetite, fatigue, and now i've been spotting some and my next period isn't due until the middle of July....could i be pregnant? Or could these also be signs of a hormonal imbalance or an infection?

You could be pregnant. Or it could be a hormonal imbalance. Are you on birth control, or have you just gotten off it? Sometimes hormonal imbalances mimic pregnancy symptoms. Also if you have an anovulatory cycle (meaning you didn't ovulate in that cycle), you can also experience pregnant-like symptoms and not be pregnant. I know, because that happened to me just last month.

You can wait and see if you miss your period next month. Then try to test if period doesn't show up. Goodluck to you!

The best thing to do, I would suggest is calling your doc's office and seeing if they'll let you talk to a nurse or something. I just was experiencing sharp pains in my lower abdomen and also am trying to get preg. It was too soon to be able to 'feel' pregnant so I did what I just suggested above and they told me to come on in and scheduled me for that very same day I called. My doc thinks I"m either preg or have a bladder infection although my urine lab test came out negative for the infection. He is keeping close tabs on me, and luckily my sharp pains have turned into a much easier to deal with dull 'cramp'. Not bad at all, really. I have 10 days until my period SHOULD start and I may break down and take a preg test tomorrow, I don't know if I will or not. It's too soon really. good luck...

It could be a number of things. You should take a home pregnany test to either comfirm it or rule that out. If you are NOT pregnant, go see an obgyn, it could be a symptom of something a little more serious like an STD or cysts. Don't DELAY, if it is an STD and you don't treat it ASAP, it could sterilize you and you won't be able to have children when you want to.

Sounds like a possible yeast infection.
