Only if MLS can attract top international talent. And if we ever becomes competitive in the WC, which is doubtful.

Never for multiple reasons (read OFFSIDE by Hellerman and Morkovitzs) but the main one is America likes seeing the best. Football, baseball and basketball (plus hockey too) is the best in the world as far as league play in the U.S.
When the World Cup came to the U.S. in 1994, it set per match attendance records. So Americans will support soccer just not third-rate versions of such.
If the NASL did not screw things up, I think soccer had a shot but they blew it. MLS is junk now...muddling along like some Div. III league.

In the eyes of the world, nothing is as great as soccer football. All the other sports you mentioned would not compare to the passion, the thrill and excitement of soccer football. For Americans, this answer seems unbelievable but Americans who are immigrants from other countries know exactly what I'm talking about, and they just keep coming and coming...So, to answer your question, YES!

Wish it would happen.....but we Americans aren't as patriotic as we say we are.
The only sport in the World were you show your true pride for your country...were a whole nation will just stop doing whatever it is they are doing to watch a game...
Here we have athletes that care more about making millions than representing their country (look at the NBA or the World Series of Baseball). Once we start showing our patriotism in something other than wars we may end up liking football!

I love soccer but i doubt it. soccer is not on t.v as much as football. baseball, or basketball. the media doesn't make as much fuss about it as it does with the other sports. you don't hear about the MLS championship games as much as you do with the superbowl, the worls series or the nba finals.

Yes, I think so. Good question. It will probably be the 2nd sport after baseball.
