I'm a college grad, I have two beautiful children, a decent job, and a wonderful man but I have no confidence in myself. I'm told I'm beautiful but I don't see it, I don't think I'm hideous but still. I'm told I'm doing a good job at work but I don't feel it. I've had 4 bad marriages and my wonderful guy has asked me to marry him, I said yes, but I don't want to ruin his life.

You must be a dormineering, controlling, woman-torturer.
Because that's what *insecurity* will breed in a highly self-centered individual.
You're right, you need to do something with your sense of inner insecurity that breeds from your exploded EGO., because you'll ruin your partner's life.
As EGO is your enemy, do something to dissolve it.
Try to think in terms of other people's feelings as the priority, rather than thinking in terms of yourself.

Sounds like you grew up in an environment where you were not told good things about yourself, or your bad marriages have shaken your self esteem.
Remind yourself every day of all that you have accomplished and all that you have going for you. Your wonderful guy's life will be ruined if you DON'T marry him. He's wonderful and he loves you. You must be pretty special!
Stand up straight. Look people in the eye. Don't look down when you walk. "Fake it til you make it" basically - act like you have self confidence and eventually you will.

Wish I knew the answer to that. I have a similar problem except without the college degree, children, never been married and no potential boyfriend in sight. I have a back breaking job that pays "okay", I'm lonely and feel like my life has been unfullfilling. I hope you find your answer. Best wishes!

He must not think you will ruin his live or he would not have asked you to marry him.
Sometimes in life we make bad choices and it seems to be a pattern.

i think you have to work on yourself.
meaning inside first and then out..
inside, just start doing things that make you feel good,
working out, or whatever you desire, as long as you smile when accomplished.. outside, well you just have to wear things or put on things that make you feel GOOD...like your the only woman on this planet!
i am actually going through alot of things right now in my life that make me feel "unconfortable" with myself....and i feel that the more i go out and meet new people, the more i learn things from them.....unfortuntely , society is the best place you can learn to be confident....

Your still a young girl what's stopping you. Right now your taking other peoples opinions of you as gospel. Lady let me tell ya you can and have whatever you want just depends on how bad you want it. Look in the mirror know who u are.

girl ur prob is u are worried u will fail at all u do again bc u had 4 failed marrages..u need to look in the mirror n say "damn i look good" i dont care who likes what i look like, i dont care what anyone thinks " i look good, i am worth the world, look out biatches here i come..u gotta go buy ur self a new panty n bra set some good smellin lotion put on a lil makeup put on some heels, u need to make urself feel like a woman agian..so do it..

im 43yr mom. only you can bring yourself confidence. not anyone here.
and anyone around you cant "blow roses" to boost your confidence. you have to please yourself!!!
my parents told me to please myself first and then the other person would make it better. but the other person dont keep making me confident. only i can.
