So much has been said and (being) done about tourism in India. Let us also contribute in whatever small or big way we can on the subject.

Each drop counts and so is our individual efforts too.

So chirag s, what committed resolution you propose for yourself in this regard, and may be for us to follow?

well definitely india needs to expand as far as the tourism business is concerned.

i agree with u that india has a lot to offer, but there are many reasons why we havent been able to capitalise on it

->firstly there is the problem of infrastructure
we didnt have proper roads and rail connectivity to tourist hotspots leave aside smaller places.

e.g. gaya which has the potential of becoming a tourism hotspot owing to its relation to birth of buddhism, is connected by a road which has potholes the size of craters.

->there was a need for airports in non major cities and also connectivity

=> however things have started changing(for good) in the past few years and finally the govt has realised the importance of tourism industry.

moreover there is a need to market india well in foreign lands.

we should offer packages like recreational package which can include a trip to the metros as well as goa, or
spiritual package which may include holy shrines and so on and so forth

YEP YOU'RE RIGHT. India has everything whereas tourism is concerned. If you want fresh air and some fun Kashmir is the best option.Or some sun bathing than Goa is the best. Whereas historical monuments r concerned you'll find them in every nook & cranny of the country. The reason why so many foriegners invaded india is
1. It's central location in the world
2. It was very wealthy in those days
3. TOURISM & SIGHT SEEING
Everyone used to loose thier sense whenever they saw the scenic valley of KASHMIR

You are very correct and Govt. has already take some big steps to boost Tourism in India by promoting it with a slogan "Incredible India!" and has attached all the states in this official web site, so one can have all the related informations on the web site itself. They are uplifting the places and monuments and even giving it on lease to private sector to get help in boosting the tourism.

I think that is a great idea. I mean the people alone man and women are very beautiful. I really like their skin tone. It is so even. As far as business they would have a lot to offer in exports to many countries.

No. You must understand, nobody cares about India. The only thing that is interesting about India is the attractive females and the Kama Sudra, otherwise, stop poppycocking and introduce me to hot, attractive Indian females

many States are getting promoted ..like Goa ,Kerala ,Rajasthan.. as state govt are taking various inititatives to promote the tourism in thier states.. but we all nned to help in them ..

consider ' Athithi Devo Bhava' to all foreign nationals who come to visit .. India go forward help them if u found someone in trouble.. but don't get into trouble if u found something suspicious..
