If it's a puncture wound, get one right away. Sometimes cuts and scratches do not require one, but it depends on what the item was that caused the wound. See your doctor if you have any doubts.

I would go immediately. Tetanus shots are meant to a preventive measure. There's no guarantee that the vaccine will work on bacteria already in the body.

if your tetanus is not up to date you need to go as soon as possible . You should have a tetanus booster every 10 years . Seriously don't wait its not worth the risk .

tetanus vaccines are good for 10 years....as a rule of thumb if you cant remember right away how long ago you had one...you need one....alot of times if its been over 5 yrs the doc's will give it anyways as a booster....your best bet is to get it within 24 hrs of injury.....

Within 24 hours for the first time and if the wound occurs again within next 6 months it is not required

Depends on the wound, Most small abraisions and cuts can just be cleaned, now if you just got sliced open by your old rusty tractor and its deep...Might wanna get that checked out....Good luck!

Now is good. Go to the hospital if your doctor is closed. That is what the emergency room is there for.

if it's been past 48 hours and your jaw has not locked,... you have no worries mate,... trust me, I took a rusty nail through the foot ( and I mean it came out the top) at age 5, it ruined my new New Kids on the Block flip flops so I hid it from my mom,... within three hours my jaw was stiff and I had to be rushed to emergency,... l still have chronic TMJ,... but I was lucky

If whatever wound occured has not given you any problems at 48 hours,... your fine.
