You havent stated the year of the car and the mileage covered,Can only assume you have the old model and the Receiver refered is the transponder used for opening the doors.
It is most unlikely the unit is kaput you have one of the best cars in the world.Electronics on a Lexus rarely goes wrong.You might try ringing Lexus GB if in the Uk and certain they will treat your dilemma with sympathy.....I could have helped you further but your Question was to brief.

For some reason I think there are universal remotes. So just sneak into the dealership and ask to see the replacement... Stick both controllers next to each other under a desk or something so the remote can get the cars code.
