how long does the sticky part wear off?

Honestly, the sticky part already on the lash is for packaging purposes, so it shouldn't last too long on your face anyways. Go buy some ardells lash glue instead.

I use Andrea Perma Lash, Flair Short Black single lashes everyday, they arent actually single there are about 10 hairs per "flair" and they rock. They arent sticky enough to put on you have to buy glue. I use LashGrip Eyelash Adhesive its waterproof and I can sleep in it and my lashes never move. Its at Walgreens.

It should wear off after you remove the lashes. To ensure a quicker removal of the glue, wet a towel with water and apply a little baby oil gel to the cloth and rub slightly until all residue is gone. Rinse with luke warm water to remove excess gel.

You don't need fake eye lashes. If you use the right mascara you can get the same effect. I like Mary Kay's Ultimate Mascara

Less than a day. I had them for halloween once and they started coming off by the end of the night.
But those were cheap ones, maybe better quality ones stick better.
