Some people say to wait do you don't have to deal with STDs or an unplanned pregnancy. Some have religious beliefs that state that sex should only be experienced in the unity of marriage. There are also lots of emtions that go along with having sex so some people feel that it is better to wait. Also there are lots of responsibilities like having safe sex and sometimes teenagers aren't the best at practicing safe sex. It also helps to have two parents raising a baby because babies cost a lot and require a lot of attention. I am glad that your family is so supportive of your sister and your niece, not all families are like that.

Because that's what religious freaks say. They think it's "immoral" to have sex before you're married because you're not pure or whatnot. Tell me, if you have sex for the first time when you get married, and then get divorced and then get remarried again and have sex isnt that sinning about 3 different times. First off (according to the religious people who need to get a life) you have sinned because you got a divorce. Secondly you have sinned because you got remarried. And third off you are having sex with someone else. Why wait if you'll get a divorce in the end? You don't always get divorced but it happens so you might as well have sex with someone you love without being married than have sex with somone you married and then get a divorce. It's pointless, in my opinion anyways.

Marriage is a partnership, a set of guidelines to make sure that both the husband and the wife support eachother until the very end. Marriage is a union between souls, so that when they procreate, a set of morals and values are passed on to the next generation. No one says you can't have sex before marriage, it's just not recommended. Sex is like fire. It can create, and it can destroy. Face it, sex before marriage usually destroys, and even if the partners do create a child before marriage, the life of that child is usually destroyed when they're raised without the proper teachings that they need from BOTH parents. Not in all cases, of course, as there are couples who have been extremely loyal to one another even without marriage, but in today's society that is not usually the case.

I don't tell ppl not to have sex until they're married. I say don't have sex until you are ready to support a child. But you should also wait until you're in a commited relationship. Unless you like STDs and just want to hop into bed with enough ppl to spread syphilis a bit, you shouldn't just have sex with anyone. Just worry about the ppl you might hurt. That's all I think you have to do. Think about it, nd be prepared when it happens. Don't just say "hey we've been dating for a month, You're hot, I'm hot. And I know we're both horny as hell, so lets go have sex," unless you really feel it would be best for everyone for you to ahve sex at that time and you're prepared to deal with the possible consequences.

usually your suppose to wait because lets say you have sex and you wind up getting pregnant and the guy thinks hey I'm not ready to have a kid I don't even want to be with this girl forever I'm not ready for a family all the guy has to do is say the babies not his and leave you with the baby but if you wait and get married you and the guy will be more mature and he will take care of his child when you get married it's because you love each other and your planning to be with each other for the rest of your life and that your ready for a family. Hey but nobodies perfect.

I think because married is often thought as a safe place for children to be born. Couple who got married are seen to be more mature and ready to raise kids and have a family. So if you're pregnant, it won't be as complicated.
But then again, sex doesn't always lead to pregnancy, and steady couple doesn't always married. I think it's more appropriate to say not to have sex until you're ready - either you're married or not.

Because those are people's OPINIONS you can have sex whenever you choose to, because it's your decision(as long as your not breaking a law of course)but as long as you are ready physically and emotionally and you can deal with the consequences it's up to you. I don't really agree when people say "wait until marriage" but if you are a responsible adult why wait until marriage? If it is what you really want!!

Because they're uptight, judgmental, holier-than-thou religious freaks...They need to go worry about their own home life rather than butt into mine. My fiance and I are happy with our situation. We have 2 babies together and are in no hurry to get married. I have family members that have dated 10 years+ and they're happy with it. If something isn't broke, there's no need to fix it.

Because they are nosy barstewards. When someone has sex is up to the individual, not anyone else. Besides, some people don't ever want to marry.
