I am assuming that by "your school" you mean a high school.

Once out of high school, you need to seek admission into a 4 year university with an excellent science program. Your major should be Biology or Zoology. Upon graduation from that 4 year university, you must seek entrance into a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine Program, which will take approximately 4 more years, and then a residency program. Then you need to take a series of tests to qualify for a Veterinary License.

Good luck...it's a long, hard road ahead of you.

Contact the closest Vet school, and ask them for requirements. Talk to the dean of the vet school. I had this desire once, and talked to the Dean of UGA vet school who told me I could come on in, but that I would not be able to see my family most all day and night each day, so (since I had children at home) I decided I could not make that sacrifice. Good luck to you.

The best way to become a Vet is to serve 3-4 years active duty and than retire.

depending on the vet school... some vet school requires a 4-year BS for acceptance... some do not... make sure you know which ones you want to go to before you make the decision

Speak with your department/college advisor. My advisor helped me out a lot. You can also talk to someone in your career center.
