The best way to fall asleep easily every night is to get up *every* day at the same time. No matter what. If you were up at 3:00 a.m., still wake up at six. If you need to, take a short nap. THis is the healthiest and most natural way.
If you're not into healthy and natural, drink a 12 pack of beer after work.

Start yourself on a daily routine. ie.: set a goal to get up at 6 or 7am everyday and go to bed at 10pm. At least until your body gets the hang of it. Also, don't eat or ingest caffeine after 8pm. This will help to wind your body down. My favorite and in my opinion the best way to fall asleep after you've gotten yourself on a routine is to buy some pure Lavender Essential Oil and take a luke warm bath (not hot) with 10-20 drops of the Essential Oil in it. It's great before bed.

wake up early, exercise about an hour before you go to bed, and drink warm milk. If none of that helps you, then try taking a Tylenol night pain killer that has sleep aid in it. It is non habit forming, so just take it when you need it and all will be fine.

Getting plenty of exercise during the day, is a great way to get a good night's sleep. Also, stay away from caffeine products during the day, establish nighttime rituals that you observe each night (that will let your body know to start winding down).
I have to read before falling to sleep, you might try that too.
