Tom Delay launders hundreds of thousands of dollars and he gets a friggin goodbye party.

Nixon recieves a pardon from Gerri.

Karl Rove leaks a CIA agent's name *cough*treason*cough* and he gets off scott-free.

What kind of a message is this? Become a politician and get rich?

Note: I asked this as an unbiased Q. I realize that there are corrupt democrats as well. So Please! Don't post an Answer praising repubs and attacking democrats.

I agree, it would be nice. I suppose I am naive and think everyone should be held to the same standard. It does send a bad message as now there is a pervasive attitude in America they 'everyone' thinks they should get away with everything. It's not entrely because politicians getting away with stuff, but it doesn't help.

It is a timely question. If you read the Declaration of Independance you'll see how "all men are created equal" and "Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed." So clearly they should not be held above us, should not be above the law and should be tried and convicted if found guilty.

While you didn't want a republican attack on democrats - why did you only point out 3 republicans 2 of which have not been convicted and one was not even charged? I don't get that?

Yes to the premis of your article. The republican idiot from San Diego is headed to prison where he belongs despite his war record and service - he sold out - and he admitted it. How often do we see one of these "public" servants admit it.

Whats with both parties crying about the DOJ serving a viable warrant on a congressional office. Damm we pay for that office - I'd suggest a warrant shouldn't be necessary - its a public office.

But finally if you don't want a Republican slam then don't just point out the republicans - there are plenty of democrats to go around.

It is time that all politicians answer for their crimes. Doesn't matter what party. However I don't think it's politicians alone. If you are rich( note I didn't just say have money) and have friends in high places it is easy to get a slap on the wrist. Sorry state of affairs.
this note is for joshway. Oral sex was not, contrary to Rep, invented by Clinton. In the fifties and early sixties the term was technical virgin. The kids having oral sex are doing just what has always been done to prevent not being a virgin. Sorry

Give me a break. Don't post 2 Republicans and say your unbiased. Let's see.

Sandy BURGLER stole documents he shouldn't have. Says he forgot. hmmmmm

Clinton is scum. Lied underoath. This is old, don't really care about it. Except now there are so many young kids having oral sex and claiming it's not sex cause of him.

The whole Louisiana Officials should be prosecuted for stupidity. Course if you are going to re-elect that Chocolate Town Mayor you deserve him.

I believe no matter what if you break the law, you should be prosecuted, DEM or REP. Let's just completely clear out our government and start from scratch actually.

You forgot about Clinton and the things he did, and where do you start with a list on Kennedy

And we certainly can't forget the people who have leaked the secret info on the tracing of bank records or the wire tapping stories, throw away the key on them to right?

The worst type of criminal is one who solicits approval for managing your house and then steals from you.

Political crimes should equal hard times.
