South Africa will host the Confederations Cup in 2009. That competition is now held every four years, the one before the World Cup in the nation that will host the World Cup. Which means the 2013 Confederations Cup will be held in Brazil.

as far as I know it will be one year prior to the world cup (since 2005 it is held every 4 years...before that, it was held every 2 years)...so it will be in 2009 - but don't know where
