I would say yes. You might not have to get tested for STD's because you're not sexually active. But the PAP smear tests for cancerous cells in your cervix, and those can develop any time. You don't want to risk your future fertility or health - Make, and keep those annual appointments!!

Yes, you should continue going to your GYN to get yearly exams, unless you Dr. tells you differently, on how often you have to schedule your appointments, it all depends on the results from your previous Pap Smear test. And it's even more important if you have had an abnormal Pap Smear in the past, specially now with the HPV virus can be screen with the Pap test.

Yes you should go to the gyn every year for several reasons ... The main ones being cervical and uterine cancer don't make you sick until they are in their advanced stages and there are STDs that you can't even tell you have without being tested. It doesn't matter how many times you have sex, if you have sex once unprotected you are in danger. You may not be sexually active now but if you have been in the last 2 years since the last time you went to the doc, you could have an STD
BETTER SAFE THAN SORRY !!!!!!!

Well is kind of like me. i just started going back to the doctors. I went without going for 2 yrs also. But is good to go every year cause even if you have your period every time and are not sexually active does not mean your OK. Yearly check ups are not only for STD but to make sure you dont have any type of growth.. like cancer or any infections.
I was fine but my doctor was kind of upset that i kept putting it off. Just go and get check every year.

know matter what you should see your gynecologist every year.not only for std's but a pap. just because your not active in sex you could have other problems that go unnoticed. not to scare you but you could produce cancer cells. i know from experience. i didn't see mine for 3 years and lone behold i had cancer cells. i was treated and haven't had anymore problems. always see your gynecologist whether you feel good or not.

It's still very important to go and see your gyno because alot of woman get cervical cancer every year and alot of woman who get it say that everything was fine and that they only had one sexual partner. And plus there's really no symptoms that woman really see whenever they have cancer. You really don't want to risk your health...go just to be on the safe side.

It couldn't hurt and it could detect a problem before it becomes serious. Kind of like buying insurance.
