Would it be possible for a doctor to do reconstructive surgery on ribs?

To reset ribs back out of the way of the lung or to fix position of broken bone fragments that grew to other bones and are not protecting the areaws they should

My boyfriend was born with a chest deformity, which is wierd bc so was my brother, anyhow my boyfreind had an implant put in to even his chest out.
