Well, I, a conservative, find all my liberal friends very selfish. They only want to talk about how THEY care about the environment, and how THEY dont like George Bush, and how THEY want to be a better person than me and help starving people, who are probably liberal themselves because they are too lazy to make MONEY and get a god damn job.

A person answering a certain question earlier today made many good points, i'd like to show you his answer...it was just a good one, hitting all the issues i was thinking of when i read the question! The question was, "Could Conservatives be any more intolerant?" his reply was:

Maybe you liberals could help us with an excuse, you're good at it.
-Excuses for no job
-Excuses for poverty
-Excuses for why kids can't learn anything in school
-Excuses for philandering presidents
-Excuses for presidents that lie to Grand Juries
-Excuses for why nobody could get out of New Orleans
-Excuses for why they flew planes into the World Trade Center

Liberals forget one very important thing. When you take tolerance to the level that people cannot say, do, think, believe, or want whatever they choose within the bounds of REASONABLE social law, it becomes intolerant. They think that only they are right, so if I believe something differant, I am imposing my beliefs on them, so I must give up my beliefs, forgetting that if they make me give up my beliefs, they are the ones being intolerant and imposing. That is why they are so selfish.

Well the term "liberal" and "conservative" are very inaccurate in description of poilitical parties. I know dems. that are very conservative and many reps. that are pretty liberal.

And as for being selfish, I don't see that. Everybody, well those with a sense of brotherhhod with their fellow human beings, wants to make the world or at least the U.S. a better place. So the fact that their opinion on how to do that differs from yours, hardly makes them selfish. I'm a died-in-the-wool democrat. I'm just able to identify with that party more. Yet on both sides of the fence are people with very good ideas on how to make the world a better place. And on this, as well as other issues, I agree with one of my heroes Sen. John McCain that there is a need for both parties to come together and share ideas to move foward, rather than being at each others throats all the time.

And as for "liberals" not wanting to make money, can you say Warren Buffett. And I realize that it doesn't take alot of skill to work at McDonalds, but the fact remains that there are many unemployed people who either don't have any marketable skills, or they can't get hired on anywhere because "W." doesn't seem to care about the unemployment problem. And the fact remains that dems. have always been for the working class and reps. have always been for the wealthy, not the rich, the wealthy. (Shaq is rich, the man that signs Shaq's check is wealthy).
There's only one time in the history of the U.S. that the economy didn't go into a recession after a war, and that was after WW II, when a dem. was at the helm. That's even after the fact we just went through the Great Depression.

And on point number three, as for why kids can't learn anything, there are many reasons, and excuses why. And both sides make excuses about that, so lets not use a double standard here. One standard will do just fine. We have to look at many things. The teaching quality. The students learning habbits. The parents. I know it's an ugly truth but not all kids are going to make it. But we should do everything we can to help them all succeed in their educational endeavors. And lowering the bar for schools, teaching and learning requirements isn't going to help. Remember we want smarter kids not dumber ones. And by setting the bar so low, we are bascially telling them that "It's o.k. to strive for medicroty." The real world is a nasty place, and they need to be prepared for the next level.

And as for 9/11. We may never ever fully understand the reason for their attacks. It's something that may not be fathomable, or comprehended. They didn't happen because Bill Clinton was the previous president and dropped the intelligence ball. And they didn't happen because George W. Bush was president and dropped the intelligence ball. The World Trade Center Comission and others like it stated that the daily C.I.A briefings did not contain that particular nugget of intelligence. Allegedly, the C.I.A. knew that the terrorists were planning something big at the beginning of Sept. yet failed to notify the F.B.I. So right there is a major break down in communications. Could it have been avoided? Sadly we will never know the answer to that question.

Excuses? Almost every administration makes excuses for what they have and have not done. The lie President Clinton told about Monica Lewinsky, pales in comparisson to the lies that President Bush and his not-so-straight administration has served up to the American Public.

Basically what it boils down to, is that our ELECTED officials need to remember it that they are just that, ELECTED. And we as citizens of this great nation, need to do a better job of reminding them that they work for us. Not the other way around. And for those that wish to impose their will on us, it's time that we stand as one, with voices stentorian, and make them face our will.

Actually, the liberals blame the corporations for no jobs instead of smothering laws and ever changing environmental rules that make lawyers richer and everyone else poorer.

For poverty: it is there pet issue sounds good, but they do not want to really do anything about it because than the problem is fixed. Besides, most of our poorer people are richer than most people in the World.

For schools; that is were they go to get a cushy job to avoid having to live on their own merit.

New Orleans is just a nightmare. Have you ever heard such screaming from any other part of the country like what came out of New Orleans? Even Mississippi, Florida, and Texas combined had less whining about the hurricanes.

The liberals tend to be peace at all costs which leads to dictators taking over.

When I was in college, we had a reporter who would go to liberal web sites and state in the college paper as fact what ever she found with out verifying the information. For liberals, the only truth there is is what they make up everyone else is an idiot or a moron.

Well l am a democrat and l have a job and do not live in poverty and my child is a member of the National Honor Society. The NEO-CON want to try to divide the country run this country into the dirt and make us hated around the world. We have no credibility with the rest of the world and the war is raging on based on lies and all the Neo-Cons can talk about is ooohhhh the liberals are trying to ruin the world by being tolerant to gays. The answer to your question is why is Conservatives so intolerant and try to look down on people who do not believe like you believe. Look at your question it all based on stupid stereo types that ignorant Neo-Con hear on the Crackhead Limbaugh show. He consume more drugs than all of South Central LA combined yet you silly people run around saying Rush is right get a life.

First of all I think that what you are saying is a ridiculous generalization. Its like saying something along the lines of all [insert nationality/race/gender] are [insert stereotype]. While there are some that display whatever stereotype attributed to them not ALL of them have it. There are plenty of other nationalities/races/genders that display whatever that attribute is.

This question- or shall I say- rant, does not judge fairly. I am a moderate, I am not liberal but I understand that no collective group of people could possibly all be “selfish” in the way that you are speaking about. What group DOESN’T want to talk about what they are doing to possibly help the earth, what group WOULDN’T want to help starving people?

I may not know a ton about politics and the different parties but doesn’t it seem a bit unreasonable to claim that liberals are essentially poor, lazy pigs? I do not think that they are necessarily making “excuses” for poverty, unemployment, and the host of other issues you listed.

Lastly, who DOESN’T think they are right, and that their way of doing things is the correct way?

I put liberals in the same boat as conservatives, separate areas of the boat, of course, we don't want them mixing.

Liberals have an agenda which lacks any true, long lasting feeling. In other words, they will fight for a cause, then walk out on the cause when they sense the cause could be lost. Conservatives seem to me to be leader wanna bes.The liberal and conservatives have one characteristic in common, however, both spew out non-sense opinions by the gallons. I prefer to hear conservative opinions because it's more like football, a lot of bang and bruises. Liberal opinions are too mushy.

Yet to give liberal credit, this country's greatest president Franklin Delano Roosevelt was a liberal. He managed to unite this country like no other president before and after him. Outside of that, I think liberal ideology is worthless. Too bad. FDR was a great one.

OK.....

-Excuses for no job....I have a job, thank you. Many don't that desperatly need one. A lot are jobless thanks to huge corporations being encouraged by the government to move those jobs overseas so they can pay poverty wages.
-Excuses for poverty....As long as the nation continues to put the welfare of the weathiest 1% ahead of the rest of the country, there will always be poverty.
-Excuses for why kids can't learn anything in school....because they have to spend too much time on school funding exams mandated by the so-called "no child left behind" law that there is no time left to learn.
-Excuses for philandering presidents....there have been lots of philadering presidents. Has nothing to do with their job performance. Their private lives should remain just that, whether they were cheating on their wives with interns, or spending their youth as an alcoholic drug abuser who used daddy's influence to get out of military duty.
-Excuses for presidents that lie to Grand Juries That's illegal, but I don't know of too many people who would have told the truth about their personal marital life under those circumstances.
-Excuses for why nobody could get out of New Orleans...The city was overwhelmed and got no help from FEMA, or any government agencies until long after the storm was over.
-Excuses for why they flew planes into the World Trade Center....I won't bother banging my head against the conservative wall of "they hate our freedoms." Lets just leave it at 9/11 happened while GW Bush was the President-on-Vacation. His administration didn't care about terrorism, and was looking at more important things, such as invaiding Iraq and getting more tax breaks and subsidies to the oil compaines.

Maybe you can help me with some excuses now:
-Excuses for an arrogant and secretive administration
-Excuses for why the President of the United States can't appear before a congressional committee without his VP there to "help him"
-Excuses why "we the people" still are forbiden to find out about Cheney's secret energy policy meeting at the begining of the adminstration.
-Excuses for why we are in Iraq
-Excuses why Osama's head isn't on the White House fence by now
-Excuses why Exxon-Mobil still needs those government subsidies
-Excuses why the army lied about Pat Tillman and Jessica Lynch
-Excuses why conservative pundits can call for the death of supreme court justices, get caught making lewd and perverted phone calls, and get conviced of "Dr. shopping" for illegaly prescribed drugs.

I think you're using "excuses" when you should write "thank the conservatives"

Why is it that conservatives only care about putting their religious doctrines in front of court houses, and their views on homosexuality, and their views on global warming. ALL POLITICAL PEOPLE ARE selfish. Stop making liberals your excuse for our country's problems, you hipocrite.

My GOD you are awesome. I'm actually jaded to all politicians. I care more about listening to sane men like Glenn Beck. Liberals, Conservatives, Republicans, Democrats, and whoever else needs to be in the list all need to stop worrying about themselves and protecting themselves, and start doing their jobs and listen to the people. NOT THE PRESS(which is full of yes men for whatever whacko tree hugging, baby aborting, welfare passing out, chocolate town mayor, bush hater, Clinton didn't have sex, Sandy hidding documents in his pants opps I lost them, retards)
P.S. Sorry for all retards you are so much more important and better people than the press.
