If the starting price is $59.99 and the markup brings it to $66.67, then you increased the price by $6.68.

6.68 is approximately 11.14% of 59.99, so that is the markup.

(I found the percentage by doing 6.68/59.99 = .111351892...)

This is not a very clear or well written question, but I will guess.

IF: 66.67 and 59.99 represents dollars
IF: 66.67 is a retail selling price of an item
IF: 59.99 is the cost of that item
IF: Your numbers indicate 66.67 - 59.99 = subtraction
Thusly:
$66.67 - $59.99=$6.68

By dividing the $$ margin of $6.68 by the retail selling price
$6.68 / $66.67 = 10.02% of the selling price = Mark up %

This sounds like a loss in business. Are you going to make it up in volumn?

If my intrepretation is not accurate, you are welcome to email me. I can help!
