We bikers maybe get noticed more doing "silly" things because there are fewer of us on the roads..how many times have I "blasted" past some woman doing her lipstick in the mirror and swerving all over the road..someone fiddling with the radio, someone on the mobile phone trying to dial or send a text. I have even seen a woman swerve all over the lane because of spraying hairspray apparently in her eyes, and yes..sometimes in situations like that,I have made it a point to pass no matter what because I can see the accident about to happen and I have no intention on being a part of it. We do cut through traffic because we can most days its either roasting hot or freezing and a bike doesnt have A/C or a heater so we like to get to where we are going. Where I live it IS legal in Europe to cut through traffic (white line surf) at a sensible speed in a traffic jam so it is not just an idiot thing to do. I was a car driver before a biker so I can relate to both sides of the story..if someone cuts through traffic at a careful speed then I dont see a prob with it,in fact I make it a point to move over and give them the extra room to get past. All I can say is that there are bad bike riders and bad car drivers and I dont totally knock either one its just that there are fewer of us bike riders as I said that I think that seems to make the worst of us stand out the most.

Motorcycle riders in Connecticut seem to be really observant of the rules of the road. They're not jerks, here.

The problem is that we have 3 motorcycle deaths per week here, due to the fact that we don't have a helmet law.

The thing that really freaks me out, is when they straighten out corners, or whatever it's called, and get too close to the yellow line. They're fragile. Like dragonflies.

No, I think you are wrong and are being judgemental. Yes, there are idiot bikers but there are idiots in any group you can think. Bikers are no different in that respect.
Besides, most accidents between bikes and other vehicles are the fault of the other vehicle due to using the "Sorry mate, I didn't see you" excuse.
As a road user, you should be observant at ALL times. If you didn't see a bike and you hit it, it is YOUR fault.

i imagine maximum automobile drivers imagine that in case you vacation a bike you're nuts already. So we could get round that first. undergo in ideas human beings in autos and automobiles aren't any more searching for motorcycles. they are searching to ward off collisions with different autos and automobiles. So vacation like you're invisible because we are. you could deploy flashing brake lighting fixtures fixtures and a headlight modulator to get the interest of persons in autos, yet in the adventure that they are in a hurry, you're nonetheless invisible. understand the regulations of the realm you're driving in. If a cager (automobile motive force) sees you going 90mph in a 45mph zone, all understand is going out the window. if you're weaving besides the undeniable fact that site visitors at dangerously extreme speeds and pulling stupid stunts, back, all understand lengthy gone. and do not forget understand is a 2 way street. To get understand one could teach understand to others. enable that automobile flow earlier you, in spite of in case you obviously have the right of way(it really is a strive against a motorcyclist won't be able to win). A pleasant smile and wave usually will disarm a foul difficulty earlier it receives worse, and would merely be lower back contained in the pleasant way meant. vacation sensible vacation probability-free Craig

Most of the time when a motorcycle accident occurs it is due to a normal driver's lack of patience, attentiveness, or just carelessness.

Go figure.

I don't ride a motorcycle either, just did a bit of research.

Some riders are like that, but don't lump us all together. It's a proven fact that most motorcycle accidents are caused by people in cars.

Those whom you encountered make up the minority of bikers which make the rest of us look bad. A real biker will know his place on the road and respect others. We know that we are vulnerable and act accordingly by giving the right of way to the larger vehicles and such. It is too bad that your experiences with bikers has been a negative one.

most definitely they all cry about watch out for us nobody cares about us. the mentality of bike riders leans toward the edge, speed, and all that stuff if you live on the edge do not be surprised when you fall.
