It's about self image.When a girl puts makeup on, she's done something that makes her feel better about herself. When she looks in the mirror she sees the work that went into doing that, and putting it on.
Then once she has that, then she will have more confidence and carry herself better, because she feels better about herself.

I learned how to put makeup on when I was very young as part of being on stage for ballet. So I've always associated it with the thrill of being on stage and how good that makes me feel. When I'm sitting at home, bored, doing nothing, a get out the curling iron and my mother's make up, and I go all the way. It's thrilling, just like being on stage is. I don't put it on for school (and I don't know any girls who do, besides mascara) or anything else. Just for me. I'll put on make up to drive around in the car. That's one of the things that makes me feel very good. So does reading a book. Or playing a song well on the viola or piano. So I put it on to feel nice.
But if it messed up my face, would I put on makeup? No way.

Well, today they have lots of different products out there, you can find a make-up line that won't mess up your skin. I work at a spa that carries a line of minereal based make-up that doesn't clog pores. It was developed by a woman with severe scarring and redness on her face. So, maybe if they are using a make-up that messes up there skin they should look for something else.

they put on make up because some people feel like they are not pretty enough, some people do it for attention or style. your beauty is skin deep we all should love our self no matter what we are created to be its still is all love.

because they want to look beautiful or they think with lots of make-up they will look more beautiful then other girls or more beautiful then she used to look before.

cuz they think that it looks good i don't wear much make up, but then again my mom won't let me.
