Is it possible to fix a phone with a broken screen?

i dropped the phone and the screen broke. The colors are mixed up and its impossible to see anything. Can you buy a chip or buy a new part to fix it? It is a sprint treo 650.

Sometimes the cell store can refurbish it by 'canibalizing ' another phone that had other damage and give you a loaner while you wait for yours. I don't believe it is a DIY project.

From my past experience it was cheaper to replace the phone.
