An attack by an asteroid is more probable than by aliens.

If a large asteroid (1000 meters in diameter) were discovered today heading for the Earth, there would be no hope of being saved. It would go splat and the Earth would have to suffer the consequences.

There have been proposals in the scientific community that the governments should begin preparing for that eventuality and begin taking action to prevent such a catastrophe. But the governmental consensus is why waste money on trying to prevent something that could wipe out all life on Earth when the money could be wasted on trivia instead.

The Most likely one would probably be Canada. This country still has vast untapped resources of mineral wealth and fossil fuels, almost 60% is undeveloped and almost unpopulated, sits close to the arctic polar region without too much adverse weather conditions, and is one of the top 5 industrially productive countries in the world. So, in the case of an asteroid strike, there's plenty of room, geological stability, weather stability, food and fuel. You could support a lot people there, even billions, because Canadians are are pretty smart at coming up with good ideas to solve problems and sharing them, and they're always helping people all over the world - even America when the hurricanes hit the south last year. And in the case of alien invaders, there's lots of room to hide to fight and to strike back.

The extra-terrestrials are not likely to attack our planet. They are already engaged in trade and cultural exchange with very secret segments of various Earth governments. The intra-terrestrials are a greater threat to us, but seem to limit their hostilities to subterfuge and intrigue.
NASA is actually getting the green light from the US congress to work on the possibility of deflecting asteroids that seem to be on collision course with Earth. This has just recently happened. Computer model tests indicate that many small explosion would do a better job of redirecting an asteroid than a single huge explosion. So batteries of missiles would work better than a nuclear warhead in that regard. I think that putting military weapons in space is actually a good idea for they could be used to destroy dangerous asteroids. Canada is spear-heading a movement that wants to keep space de-militarized. They are too late and short sighted.
The country most likely to cooperate with the US on this would probably be the UK.

Mexico - See they have the Chupa Cabras. They are the Aliens pets that got lost. That's the reason why Aliens have landed. So Mexico will cough up the Chupa Cabras and the Alien Menace will go away.

Also Riley Martin from The Howard Stern Shown would know the answer best - Oquanda ne Laurum to you too.

No one is going to save us from anything. The USA is going to have to save itself, be it from asteroids, aliens or anything else.
