It depends on how often you want to do laundry. I would have a minimum of 4, but I hate to do laundry.

I am single too and I would use 5 sets because when useing one for my bath room I have 4 an even number so it folds nice and neat. If you want sets.
I on the other hand have tons. Mainly because I have a lot of family that comes to spend the night. Since I live far from most now.
It really depends how many people come to stay at your house.
Good luck but 5 sets should look nice.

As many as you want. You are by yourself, so it doesn't really matter what other people think right? I believe a lot of towels is neccessary because one, you can change your decor any time you choose, two, towels eventually wear out and need to be replaced anyway. So what the harm of having a lot of towels? The only thing you need to watch out for is running out of room in your cupboards, but as long as you have plenty of room, then keep adding sets to it, especially if it makes you feel good.

I would say 4 maximum - 2 sets for yourself during the week, and 2 extras in case you have guests. If you are expecting more guests than you have towels, you can always run out and buy some at Walmart for probably just under $10.00. Then just put them away, and you'll have them the next time you have visitors.

I am a towel fiend and wont use the same towel twice so either wash them every other day or get atleast 5 to 6 sets.

I don't care what anyone says,You can never have enough towels.I lived alone and I had thirty plus towels and wash cloths and hand towels and that's not including the kitchen towels. Get has many as you want.

I would say 4 not b/c of the laundry issue, but b/c what if you have a couple of houseguests... or take a towel to the beach/pool, etc. I think 4 sets covers it all.

Two sets should be enough, unless you entertain often. If so I suggest 2 extra hand towels per set.

I think 4 - 3 for your use and 1 for the expected or unexpected guest.

I have four towels, four handtowels, and four washcloths. This makes for a full load of laundry when they're all used up, AND gives you enough just in case you have a visitor ;)
