cream color. Over the years it has turn a dark ugly gray. I mop and clean it regularly. I have tried bleach, but that doesnt remove it? Any suggests other than getting on my hands and knees and scrubbing each section, I have done that and it takes forever? Thanks!

You won't like my answer either, but it's alot less of a hassle. Bad news: you will have to get on your hands and knees. Good news: It's the last time you will have to get on your hands and knees. Go to a tile store or distributer and get a container of sulfamic acid. Follow the directions for diluting it and give the grout and "acid wash". That should restore the color everywhere except maybe for the heaviest traffic ares, in which case it can take a second or third wash. after that, just clean your floors regularly and you shouldn't need more than a damp mop.

You will not like my answer. If the grout is more than 2 to 3 years old it should be replaced. Places like Lowes and HD carry tools (hand tools) that remove a percentage of the grout. You should remove as much of the old grout as possible, re grout the section. The newer grout has sealers already in the grout and its not as porious to catch dirt. The only true cleaning method is on the hands and knees.

I used bleach and my grout was destoryed. I agree with the guy above in that you might have to replace it. Also, get a good grout sealer and reseal every year. That worked for me. Good luck.

You can buy a grout cleaner and then seal them with grout sealer. You could also "paint "the grout darker.
