Don't use Internet Explorer. Use FireFox. It really is 1000 times better and doesn't have the issues that Internet Explorer has.

Click open internet explorer on a new window before you minimize the first one.

From IE> Tools> Internet Options> Advanced> Browsing> uncheck "Reuse windows
for launching shortcuts.
And you probably have a pop-up blocking program running - try disabling it. Are you using Yahoo Toolbar or something like that?

Internet Explorer is simple, secure too. Who says its not secure. Please mention the reason why. Every software has bugs because its made by humans.

And for your answer, could you tell me as to what are you doing, which button are you clicking whicdh causes it to close?

Cheers,
Manish

Internet explorer is not secure browser. If you can avoid it, please do.
Download Firefox browser and use it with no problem.
It is used in Unix/Linux world by proffesionals and very recommended. It is easy to use, has more options and much more secure.
You can download it at:

Version 1.5

All your problems will be gone!

I'm not sure I understand what you're saying. Make sure you're hitting the _ button on your browser and not the x button. _ will minimize, and x closes.
