Uniform Policy in high school?

I have to write an essay stating why uniforms should be strongly enforced in high school. I would really appreciate if some one would give me some important points regarding my essay topic.

Uniforms help create an equality between pupils regardless of monetary status.

They help to reduce peer pressure for certain fashions or labels.

You don't have to search for something different to wear everyday!

I believe the Japanese wear uniforms, and they have some of the highest test scores in schools. There is a time for creative and a time for out and out learning. Back to basics -- while the individual is not necessarily emphasized by clothing you can be creative and recognized for the whole purpose you are in school. For your work. Imagine being the best author, artist, scientist or scholar in your school. I would prefer being recognized for that than how rich my parents are and how well they clothe me.

Uniforms flat line everyone. No one can come to school boasting about how expensive their clothes are and making less fortunate students feel they are of a lesser quality. It also prevents gang banging dropouts from singling out students for the colors they wear. School is about learning, not about fashion statements.

I think that schools should do that so the no one knows who the poor are or the rich. You can just like each other and not have to worry about what you are wearing. Kids care about that stuff and they care what there friends are wearing. Kids are really mean.
