Before I married my husband he roomed with a fellow student. On several occasions they heard footsteps up and down the hallway. Never anyone there. After the roomate married, his wife was asleep in bed with her arm hanging off the bed. Something pulled her hard enough to yank her out of bed. He convinced her she fell out on her own. After about 1 year she was bathing their baby in the tub and heard footsteps in the hall. She called out her husbands name. No answer. Then the bathroom door slammed shut and she couldnt open it but still heard the footsteps. Husband came home about 15 minutes later to find his wife hysterical. They moved. House has since been torn down for an airport.

I lived in a flat once which was converted from a victorian house and every night I would hear footsteps to my front door, a key go in the lock and then nothing. I even opened the door when I heard the key go in but there was no one there. The handle though was ice cold!
My sister had the flat after me and claimed she would wake in the night and an old man would be sitting on the end of the bed, smiling at her!

i have a spirit in my home.I once had a medium out to see if this woz true as funny things were happening (not bad things) she told me that it was a soldier.I went to my local library and low and behold, the plot where my home is built is where the air raid shelters used to be and opposite my home there used to be an army base.Still to this day,if i go into my daughters room and can occasionally smell pipe and cigar smoke which is very strange.I have named him "fred" and he isnt an evil spirit. Now and again my mirror on wall will swing slightly, most nights he will walk up my hallway as you can see like a shadow passing. My cushion on my sofa will go down as if someone has sat on it,but of course no one else is in the room with me.My children are used to him and often say hello to him. This has been goin on for 8 years now.I don't mind that he is around,i've got used to him now.Ive been asked lots of times if i ever wanted to move because of this and i always reply no as he is doing no harm.He is just some poor man who can,t get to the other side or he doesn't want to leave.Maybe one day i will get someone in who can help him out,but for now i think he's ok with me and my family.

I was always sceptical about there being such things as ghosts, but all that changed when i took up a job as a security guard, during the time i worked as a guard i experienced three unexplained happenings.

when i was little, me and mother visited a church, i was about 5 at the time. My great grandmother had died a few days before, i had not yet been told. I wandered off, and came back to my mother a few minutes later, she asked where had i been, i said "talking to poorly nana" (which is what i called her)
strange what children do isnt it
