Take them to hospital and pray a lot for them.

Call 911, silly!
Then be supportive at the hospital, realizing that to stay calm helps the victim and everybody else involved.
Don't forget about them when it's time for rehab and spending time with them. People get awfully lonely when in bed and other family members don't keep them up to date on daily stuff. They would still need lots of attention and reassurance.

Support them in any way I could. When something bad happens to someone in your family, it happens to you too. You just do the best you can with the situation and carry on.

I hope the reason you're asking is not because this has happened to someone in your family ... or you. Purely hypothetical, right?

well, what I did in real life was to stand by him, go to the dr when necessary, stay in the hospital all 8 days, take care of him when out... then take care of whatever I needed to later (insurance/attorneys etc)
