Sometimes, when people have convinced themselves of something, no matter how much you tell them it's not true, they won't believe you. This is telling me that there is something else that's troubling your friend that she needs help with. Is there a guidance counselor at school or a teacher or parent you can talk to who might be able to help her get the help she needs? The sooner the better because things may get worse the longer it goes on.
And don't feel like you're telling on her or anything. It's not like that. Sometimes when you care about someone and you want to help them you have to do things that might upset them at first but in the end they will realize that you were being a good friend and doing what's best for them. We all need a little help sometimes and who better to help you than your friends?
Good luck!

I used to have a friend that would think the same way. She developed an eating disorder that could have killed her. Tell your friend that you love her dearly, and you don't want her to hurt herself. Then tell her how pretty she is. If she insists that she's fat, then tell her that you've been meaning to try a new diet or go to the new gym. Invite her to come along. If she doesn't want to do it, then she doesn't want to, so don't try to force her. Just tell her that you'll always be there for her whenever she needs you.

It sounds like she has a real issue with self-esteem and body impression. She needs to talk to a doctor. She could worsen if you don't get her the correct kind of help. She might be mad at you at first. But you don't want to go visit your friend in the hospital because she has to be fed by tubes.

Tell her how you feel. At times people feel that way because that is how they were taught to live. My sister in law acts the same way and a lot of the reasons are is because she had a very rough child hood and it is her way to get attention. In most aspects your friend might need to get some couciling.

well i have a pretty troubled friend. She used to cut herself and she now goes all day without eating and at things such as school events she guilts me into giving her money and walking with me to 7-11 at night to get something to eat. Watch your friend she doesn't sound too horrible right now but watch her and if she gets bad tell an adult.

you have to keep on ministering into her spirit. she has a low self esteem so you have to let her know how beautiful n wonderfully made she is. Try by telling her every morning she wakes up to look in the mirrow and tell her self she i s beautiful she is successful. let her know nothing beats a failure but a tryer. Help her to encourage her self. and build up her self esteem.

***THIS WILL WORK!***
go on google.com, go to images, type in ''fat'' and let her see some of the people that r actually ''fat''. then ask her if she thinks she is fat and she will probably say no. now 4 her eating thing. if she doesn't snap out of it, then get her to a doctor or tell and adult

First of all, who cares what others think? Are you happy?
Second, self-esteem issues can not be addressed by a lay person. Have her seek counseling and continue to support her.

You definetly need to help her feel more comfortble with ehr body. This is how eating disorders start out. First you start picking at your meals, then you start skipping them, and soon it gets crazy. Help her by exercising with her, eating right.
