Simple!! Retro comes back into style because there is simply nothing else left to design that people in the real world would wear. (Meaning we all dont stride the runway). lol. Also looks from the era of lets say the fifties, comes back easily, only because some people believe more is less (if you catch my drift, its more intriguing to hold back showing so much skin). And people also like to dress that way to feel that hopefully someday life would be almost as simple as it was back then. When everything was still innocent, and taboo.
At least thats what i can think of. And i laugh when I see retro styles come back "In style". Because I remember my grandfather telling me "One day they will run out of ideas, and go back to where they started". By that he meant music, and clothes etc.
p.s. I have been into the retro stye of the fifties for years now. Its a great scene!

Even though Fashion is supposed to be original it really has to start from somewhere. Everything recycles itself from movies to cars (look at the mustang and charger coming back). Things from the past are great. I love going to sites that have things from my generation, the 80s...
If you have babies and want to see retro...theretrobaby.com is a good example of things that come back in style over and over again:-)
PS. That's why my mom always told me to keep clothing from the past..it will be right back in style for my kids to wear someday.
