You should look at this one, though I'm not certain it answers your question. This, of course, is just one little bit from it.

"The researchers also found that women who had bleeding during pregnancy, those who had three or more first-trimester abortions, and those who had either a miscarriage or pregnancy termination in the second trimester were more likely to miscarry after amniocentesis. " (1)

This also has some good information:

Because I don't know the circumstances of your miscarriage, the possible genetic problems that were being looked for and so on, I can't research
your question very well. But a Yahoo! search on "rate of miscarriage amniocentesis" seems to turn up some pretty in-depth reports. Just skip anything like "Baby News" and such. A quick glance can show whether a site is relevant and reputable.

Best luck with future pregnancies, and my condolences on your loss.

Why would you want to do amniocentesis? isn't that to envision for down syndrome? did you comprehend that they stick a needle in you abdomen? Preclasmia is severe blood pressure it has no longer something to do with amniocentesis! And sure that is risky reason they could poke your twins. I say No do not do it. For what????? My sister had preclasmia and had an emergency c-section at 8 months. She pretty a lot died! you want to be in clinical institution or be considered ordinary.
