Librarian? I'm a student that take a course that focus to be Librarian ( but we also can be information manager... but librarian is our main focus ). What do you think about librarian? When i read a book about career and pay... the librarian salary not bad. Hmm... i dun want be a streotype librarian ( so serius all time ) bcoz I'm so friendly and i hate to be serious. Then, do u think i should be librarian or information manager?

Librarian is a wonderful job. I wanted to be a librarian, but, I could not afford college when I was young. I would have been a very helpful librarian, and would not be the typical stereotype. I wish you the best of luck in your quest.

hey, what school do you go to that has a librarian course? I worked as a librarian aide for several years, part time during school type thing. Ive always liked books. My last job involved dirty manual labor in a 110 degree engine room, it was horribly loud and i hate to think how much poison i was breathing. I was seasick, my hands and skin was a mess, and the people i worked with were mostly jerks. I wondered most of the time what i was doing, and thinking how good that nice clean, quiet, cool library was. Not to mention the other cute librarian chick, and the "dumb blondes" needing help.

Maybe friends are jealous because their ordinary jobs are meaningless. Look into the pros and cons of both jobs. Librarian work is really interesting but am speaking as an avid reader and spent many years doing volunteer library work for the American Red Cross Schools Program.

You talk about librarians as if you've never met one. Go to a library and talk to a librarian. They're great people who love to help others.

Librarians can be funny, informed, thoughtful, and many other great things. I just work at a library and do adult programs but libraries on the whole are great in every way.
