Oh goodness no. I don't think Kim Jong-il is *that* crazy. If he were actually to take such an action, he would only further alienate his country from the rest of world commerce... and North Korea isn't exactly strong enough to be a self-sustaining nation.
It's true that a lot of countries are really upset at the US, but, frankly, our economic contribution to the global economy is enough to give us a little bit of a cushion when it comes to things like nuclear threats from communist countries (see Cuban Missile Crisis).
We can get a lot deeper into this subject, referring to things like Sept11, and our presence in the Middle East, but I won't, just because there isn't enough time in the world to analyze every socio-political movement of every country and how it relates to this question...

The problem with that country is it is fairly unpredictable. Another problem is there is no way to educate them on what the outside world is like. The children are taught in school that Bush is the number one enemy and that America is completely evil. Its really sad to see and something needs to be done about it. The only problem is that if anybody, not just America, tries to do anything they probably will fire missles somewhere and there would be a war.

Bush, Chaney and Rummy do. Everyone else who's out of the institution doesn't.

NO... because even Kim knows the repercussions would be too severe to do anything that stupid... He will continue to rattle his sabre, however.

I thought it was more about them achieving launching satellite capability than weapons of destruction?
