The firing order for a 4 cyl is 1-3-4-2
6 cyl is 1-5-3-6-2-4
8 cyl is 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2

if you look on the coil pack it has the # of that plug on it. Not all firing orders are the same. The # 1 plug will be on a 4 cyl at the front of the engine and on a V-6 it will be in the cylinder head that is further a head of the other cylinder head.
