Why are most Republicans such idiots?

I know you are being serious. I really want an answer to that as well. My theory is that they are brought up in such an environment that encourages that kind of thinking (and I use that term VERY loosely!). It's like your racists and whatnot, where we just say, "Aww, they don't know no better..." They really think they are smart and justified and all that; like these people answering here. Check that many of them are also very religious- they believe in lots of weird stuff that became socially accepted in their little white circles with piles of cash in the middle. They have an "it's all mine and you can't have it" mentality that is really irritating. I have had to calm down tho after they elected that FRIGGIN IDIOT twice. If that's what the majority of the country thinks, then we are outnumbered my friend. All we can do is wait for the rapture/second coming of Christ so they will all just go away. Let's not hold our collective breath as we suffer.

So, by your definition, idiots believe that people should be rewarded for hard work, and their money should not be stolen and given to people who choose to leech off of their fellow man. Idiots believe that government should get out of our lives as much as possible and allow us to live freely? Idiots have values and, not only do they stick to them, but they can back up their opinions with facts?

See, I thought an idiot was someone who, for example, thinks that the earth is headed for the next ice age, then a few years later changes their minds when the facts don't support their opinion, and say that global warming is a problem caused by cow farts.

What dictionary are you using? Really, I'm curious.

Marketting is a lot of the idiot-ness, actually. A lot of us are not crazed loonies like are shown on TV o_O;. Just like a lot of a lot of Democrats aren't as dramatic on TV. In fact, TV gives a nice, glorifying edge to those on the extremes (usually a liberial slant, unless you're watching FOX). In psychology, this would be a confirmation bias--the media is looking to confirm that one side is messing up, so they look for information that would be interpreted to discredit them. Major news stations are located usually in democrat-bias states--they're going to perform their polls with like-minded individuals and make "the red states" seem like simpletons that ALL think that there's no such thing as environmental hazards and the like concerns.

Bush is goofy at times. Yes.

Kerry is goofy at times. Yes. ("In America, you have the right to be stupid." just the other day.)

There are idiots on both sides. Don't worry, we don't hog it to ourselves.

Are these ALL Republicans and all Democrats? No. v_v;. Each side has highly intelligent people. Just each side has unjustly represented intelligent sides (Reps are shown more often as blundering idiots, Dems are shown more as well-spoken. Oh, or a Kennedy.)
