5X5 Patterson has slowed down the past 2 weeks. I need HR's and RBI's. I'll probably be caught in SB's but a pt or two and I think I can gain that from Francouer's power in the 2nd half. Plus I don't have to break up my SP staff to get a power OF. I still get to keep Liriano, Harang, Clemens, Haren, The Unit, J.Patterson.

Patterson is second in the majors in steals, so I would have asked for more than Francouer. Patterson hit 24 home runs in 2004, so I don't think Francouer will hit so many more home runs to make up for the large number of steals Patterson will get.

Not a bad trade, but I wouldn't have done it.

yah...I'm not a huge Patterson fan to begin with, his K/bb ratio is as scary as ever, but he does steal bases by the bushel full, and SB's are at a premium again this year.

Francouer should have a stronger second half then the first half, I probably would have made the same deal if I need HR's

As a Cubs fan, I know first hand that Patterson's 1st half #'s are a fluke. I guarantee that his OBP goes down & his steals will follow suit.

Francouer has tremendous upside. The HR power is definitely there & I think you'll benefit from his 2nd half reassurgence.

I believe I would have asked more for Patterson. Not a bad trade but not great.

It's a good trade if you needed more power.

He was on fire the end of last season and he seems to be coming on strong now...I'd say good trade.
