I have microsoft XP as an operating system.

Well, there are different types of memory on your computer, and if you wanted to check your RAM, then yes, go to My Computer -> Properties. There it will tell you how much RAM you have.

On the other hand though, I think you are talking about total HDD (Hard Disk Drive) space. To check that, double-click on My Computer, and then right click on your hard drive - usually "C:" drive - and click on Properties. That will tell you total amount, how much you have left, and how much you've used.

Right click My Computer, choose Properties. On the main window that comes up it will have the amount of memory installed.

CTRL+ALT+DELETE

open task manager and go to performance Tab
u can find it there
