Ebonics is a bogus language. It was invented at the University of California, as was Kwanza, by a professor who wanted to make a language that would be easier for Black Americans to understand and to spell. However the only thing that he achieved was to cheat them out of learning the elements and beauty of the English Language with all of its rhythms, harmony and elements.

Actually every language has different dialects. As much as I hate the idea of special treatment for any race, Ebonics is a dialect, like it or not. Not a language, really, but a dialect. In France, they used to get mad when people started using English words like hamburger and hotdog. In South America, there are many dialects of Spanish. Some Latin people might say the Puerti Ricans speak very bad spanish, but it's just what has developed.
You ever been to Louisiana and met a Cajun? That's called cajun french, but some people might say it's lazy English from a French person. So the same thing could be said about Ebonics, but who cares. It's snobby to say that True English is a high class language.
But I'm not giving in to having retributions paid to anyone who was not a slave in the US. That means no one. Get over it and go make your own money. And if anyone calls me racist I you can go **** yourself because anyone who knows me knows I'm not racist.

Ebonics is the result when someone is so stupid, they can't even learn to speak correctly.
Or rather, ebonics is the bogus term used to try and cover up the fact that some people are too stupid to learn to speak correctly. Liberals desperately want to prevent people from noticing that there are DRAMATIC differences in intelligence between blacks and whites. They want people to think that others aren't better or worse...just different. This is ludicrous. It is obvious to everyone but liberals that people differ in their strengths and weaknesses. You can't tell me that Arnold Schwarzenegger and Richard Simmons are equally as strong....just different, lol. Same goes for IQ.
Some blacks aren't too stupid to speak correctly, they just speak a different language! Problem with that is it's a lie. If it wasn't a lie, success for these blacks would be as simple as convincing them to speak clearly and correctly, at least when interacting outside their social group. Sadly, this does not work and cannot work. The lie prevents any attempt to address the underlying problem.
Which is also very much the point. Liberals HATE black people and want them kept down at any cost. Fostering lies like ebonics is one way to do this. It prevents them from doing anything to solve these problems. That's the very definition of racism.

Ebonics is just a flashy, memorable name for something that doesn't actually exist. However, there are African-American dialects that are valid even if they don't conform to Standard English because they do conform to Universal Grammar. Forming language is a natural human behavior.

I think ebonics came from uneducated slaves and has been passed down from one uneducated generation to another. No it is not a valid language and people who talk like that sound like they don't have brain one in their heads! I had a black manager once that looked like he may be intelligent, until he opened his mouth! They just like giving the world another reason not to like them.

Wow.....
B I think that as a Nubian Queen it is just not proper English or English at all. Now if all the black community converted to speaking it in a whole then it would be valid. NO one wants to not have access to learning a language someone is speaking iright in front of you.

bogus language. i agree that it is a (sad) form of a dialect, though. just like rednecks and southerners say Y'all and yonder. but i haven't heard any rednecks wanting to make the way they talk an official language! that's ridiculous. i can't believe that they are teaching that crap in school now. slang is slang. it's not taught in a classroom, it's learned on the street. and it usually is incoherent babble.

Culturally valid, and no more bogus than we Texans who say "ya'll" and "fixin' to" ... the English language and its hybrids are in a constant state of flux.

a- we chang everday and the slang is becoming more a norm. It;s cool but there is a place & time. Your not gonna go to a interview talking "ish". And to stick man is not just used by "blacks". We are highly intelligent and know how to communicate properly. So get it right.

b - a bogus language.
It is a foolhardy accomodation for a failure on the part of educators and students alike to apply themselves to learn the standard grammar of their mother tongue.
